If you were asked ,how do you measure your wealth? Is it how rich you are? What do you mean by rich? Rich in money terms, maybe? We always tend to measure how wealthy we are by how much money we’ve got in the bank, but is this a sensible thing to do? Is it the only dimension by which our wealth can be determined? Definitely not!

This is a very materialistic world and we have become used to measuring our wealth in money terms and give very little thought to the very real things that determine how wealthy we are. In fact we treat the things that matter most in our life with a degree of casual disinterest which beggars belief sometimes.

Apart from money, what are the things that determine how wealthy we are? Relationships and family are valuable beyond measure: having said that they are often the victims of our quest for even greater financial reward. When we wake up and realize the damage we’ve done, it’s often too late.

Many people say that you are wealthy beyond measure when you are healthy. Health is probably our greatest asset. Yet again we all too often let the pursuit of money get in the way of our health. We overeat, put on too much weight and take little exercise. We pay little ‘proper attention’ to ourselves with the result that disease catches up with us and we become health poor very quickly indeed.

Probably the greatest weight loss tip for a healthier and wealthier life is to develop your self-awareness. You need to be aware of the bad habits that make you fat. If you are then you can do something about it. You need to be aware about the toll you pursuit of money might be having on your health – and for that matter, your family.

If you want to ‘reform’ and lose weight you need to change your behavior and learn new habits, slim habits. If you do, and you are able to alter your eating and lifestyle habits you are going to be wealthier that you could ever have imagined!
